BIRDING IN JANUARY

Here are some birds that enjoyed my feeders on a cold and cloudy January day.

This is a Slate-Colored Junco.

Here is a Ringed-Neck Dove on my deck railing. This is a common House Sparrow. (My bird book names a lot of sparrows, but this one is "common".
Here is a titmouse.
Here is the same titmouse being shy. They flit around a lot making it hard to get a picture.Here is a dove preening.

Here is a male House Finch. Here is a female House Finch


Here is an American Goldfinch.
A male American Goldfinch. In summer the "black mask" is actually a black cap.
A male Cardinal.
A female Cardinal.
Here is a Carolina Wren.
This large Siamese Cat was wandering around just outside my yard. He better stay away from my birds!
